Taste
Buffalo Trace Kosher Rye Recipe Bourbon This Kosher and exquisite bourbon was crafted with tradition in mind and is matured in specifically designated Kosher barrels. It is one of three Kosher recipes available from Buffalo Trace. This unique blend is crafted with Mash Bill #1, like other great spirits such as Buffalo Trace Kosher Straight Rye, and Buffalo Trace Kosher Wheat Recipe. It is a sour mash of corn, rye, and malted barley, which has a lower content of rye, than mash bill #2. It is rich and complex, with fragrant floral notes on the nose. On the palate, you'll find a blend of floral and sweet notes of honey, vanilla buttercream, peach, citrus, licorice, smoked oak, cinnamon, and a little toasted grain. The finish is long and lingering with all with layered notes of black pepper from the oak.
History
Buffalo Trace Kosher Rye Recipe Bourbon is a unique spirit created in partnership with the Chicago Rabbinical Council, it is a unique blend of bourbon whiskey in a Kosher version. Even though this partnership commenced in 2010, the first three spirits weren't launched until 2020. It is produced from the same high-quality grains as their Bourbon Whiskey, aged in kosher barrels for 7 years, then bottled at 94 proof. Special care is taken to ensure that the whiskey has no contact with non-kosher spirits. The Rye Recipe Bourbon is released yearly after Passover. It is expertly distilled, aged, and bottled at the most award-winning distillery in the world The Buffalo Trace Distillery. It is one of the oldest operating distilleries in America. It was founded in 1775 and has had several names since then including the George T. Stagg Distillery and the Old Fashioned Copper Distillery. Previously owned by the Sazerac company, but now known as The infamous Buffalo Trace Distillery. It is the most award-winning distillery in America and has won several awards, including not one, but seven "Distillery of the Year" recognitions. Buffalo Trace Distillery is still American family-owned and located in Franklin County, Kentucky, with over 130 acres and is home to four centuries of architecture all still operational. This once use to be the home for the world's most exclusive Master Distillers such as Albert B. Blanton, E.H. Taylor, Elmer T. Lee, George T. Stagg, and Orville Schupp. This exquisite bourbon is made with Mash Bill #1 which is produced from the finest corn, rye, and malted barley, and then aged in new oak barrels until the peak of maturity. It is consistently rated among the best bourbons in the world due to its rich taste, and great value.
