Production Notes

Don Julio 1942 Tequila is made using the traditional Tahona process that has been mastered over several decades. The piñas (heart of the blue agave plant) are slow-roasted in traditional masonry ovens for 70 hours, imparting a unique flavor and aroma to the final product. Distillation in pot stills, followed by aging in American white-oak barrels for at least 30 months, refines the tequila's smooth, luxurious character.
