This whisky is no ordinary Macallan. We start by using sherry seasoned oak casks, previously used in The Macallan's own Warehouse 24 for 12 years to mature our most extraordinary malt. Then we carefully select casks with a high proportion of oloroso sherry and colour the whisky naturally - with time and patience, rare character and characterful flavours emerge. Drinking Rare Cask reveals what is truly exceptional about The Macallan.

A bold, rich and smooth Macallan Rare Cask Single Malt Scotch whisky. This amber-tinted malt has a nose of raisins, fresh fruit and spice - balanced by the woody sweetness of Sherry seasoned oak casks.

Soft notes of vanilla with rich raisin, followed by a sweet fusion of fresh apple, lemon and orange

PALATE
An intense sweet raisin dominates before giving way to vanilla and dark chocolate, with layers of light citrus zest
